Our Summer of Love party took place on Saturday and we are delighted to say that it was a huge success. The party sold out with over 210 guests. Many prizes were won during out icebreaking game and we had to run extra speed dating sessions as it was so busy. Later in the evening, resident band “The Bluejacks” appeared and got everyone dancing with their hits from the 80s and 90s. I had quite a few people coming up to be saying it was the best mix of people for some time.

The Single Solution Love Bus made it’s triumphant return to the streets of London on Thursday 23rd July.

Following on from successful trip in February ,  our new improved “open top” London Love Bus spent the day travelling around the City and the West End, letting everyone know about our amazing singles parties and online dating.   To make sure nobody could miss us, we hired a 17 piece brass band to serenade the crowds with Love songs.  Everyone had great fun and we gave out 100s of flyers and goody bags.

We’ve had a great response to our promotion which will attract many new members to our site.

We like to think of our Premium Membership scheme as a special, VIP club.   By paying us each month for our Online Dating services, our Premium Members also get massive discounts off all events.    This isn’t just for them, but for their friends too.  That means that the savings can work out much more than the actualy cost of membership.  Great value or what?

On top of that, we run events just for our Premium members in mind.  This includes special Wine Tasting, Theatre, Comedy and Casino evenings and they are great opportunities to meet new people in London.

It’s often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.   Well, it seems that a week doesn’t go by without yet another company trying to copy what we do.

Many companies come and go, trying to emulate our successful formula and running second rate events.  They try and use the venues we work so hard to find, attempt to poach our customers and undercut our prices. We’ve even found some who copy and paste the text from our website, using it as their own!  These companies don’t last very long.

We were the first company to introduce the ice-breaking card game, which other companies adapted into the Lock and Key game.  We were also the first to offer live bands and provide more (and better) hosts than anyone else.

Competition isn’t a bad thing as it makes us work harder.   We know that we are the industry leaders and have the most experience, busiest parties and nicest guests.  We offer the best value for money events and are in this for the longer term, rather than trying to make a quick buck and then disappearing.

As we move towards our 8th year of business, we promise to keep on trying out new ideas and events.  Single Solution is the original and the best and we thank you for your support.

Dating Expert for the Single Solution.

Earlier this year, we started running “Learn to Play at the Casino” parties.   These are smaller, more intimate parties than the ones we normally run and have proved to be be an amazing success.  Each one has attracted some wonderful guests and we now run them on a monthly basis.

The evening starts in a private area of the Casino where you are given a welcome glass of sparkling wine. Our hosts help you mingle and then food is served.   Once everyone has enough food you are given a voucher for another drink of your choice and then taken to the private gaming tables. You’ll then have a couple of hours of tuition on Poker, Roulette and Blackjack.   You’ll be using pretend chips so don’t worry about losing.   If you lose them you’ll just get handed some more.  If only the real Casino worked like that!  Once the tuition is over you can either return to the bar to chat with the other guests or try your luck for real in the main Casino.
We run these events primarily for our Premium Members and are priced so they get big discounts on them.  Regular members are still very welcome to attend and many often too.

It’s our intention to run more events for Premium Members. These include our upcoming wine tasting and comedy nights.  They are so good it’s worth upgrading so you can come along.   You can even bring a friend at the discounted rate.

Thank you to everyone that came to our Easter Eggstravaganza Singles party at the Slug And Lettuce.  We had over 200 guests who took part.   For this party, we had a fun “decorate the egg” competition and we were were very impressed with the creative entries!  We’ve also had some great feedback as you’ll see below.

Our Halloween party at the Abbey was the biggest and best so far – with over 250 guests signed up.

The Abbey was decorated with lots of gruesome decorations – from hanging skeletons to bats and spiders. Our staff dressed up and many of our guests did so too as you’ll see in the photos below. Guests were invited to play the Halloween ice breaking game to win free drinks. To do this, they had to plunge their hand into the ice bucket ( complete with ice!) and pull out an eyeball. They then had to search the room for the matching eyeball which provided an instant talking point.

Magician Ravi Mayar and Tarot Reader Hayley Blake proved to be incredibly popular and both were in high demand. Once the mingling and speed dating had taken place, the evening was rounded off with a couple of stunning sets from Single Solution’s favourite covers band “The Bluejacks.” We’ve had such great feedback about our band that we are delighted to say we’ve booked them again to play at our big Christmas party on the 20th December.

Thank you to everyone who came and “got into the spirt” of Halloween. We hope next year will be even better!

By all accounts, these were all a great success, with over 175 people at each one. As always our optional speed dating slots were all fully booked.

For September we are returning to our normal selection of mid week events, with a few Saturday night’s running up to Christmas.
