Our Halloween Spooktaculars are legendary.

Over the years, our Halloween parties have gained a great reputation for being fantastic events.  They attract large crowds and we always get lots of extras to help make the event really special.

This year we’ll be at our most popular venue  – The Abbey on Saturday 29th October.  As always, we’ll be decorating it to give it the full Halloween spooky makeover.

We’ve lined up some excellent entertainment for you including the returns of Tarot Reader Hayley and DJ Titch.  We’ve also got a brand new magician for you – Mark Oldham.  Mark comes highly recommended having worked alongside our other magicians Graeme and Terry.

Fancy dress is completely optional, but we find that if you make the effort you’ll have a so much more fun!  You don’t need to hire a full blown costume but a mask or wig can make all the difference.  So many shops now sell Halloween costumes that there’s not excuse for not brining something along.  We’ll have fantastic prizes for the best outfits.

The Single Solution is 9 years old!

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate at our big party on Saturday

We pushed out all the stops for this one, spending all the profits on making it special.

We had a large crowd who enjoyed the complimentary wine and the canapes/buffet.  We’ve already had lots of great comments and feedback about the event and by all accounts it was one of our most popular events ever.

The highlight of the night was of course Lady G – our amazing Lady Gaga tribute act.  She kept the guests well and truly entertained with her uncanny vocal abilities, along with her sexy dancers.  We had decided to get them in as a special treat for our guests and to try something a bit different.  By all accounts this worked wonderfully.

We’d like to thank everyone for their support over the last 9 years.

We’ll be making sure our 10th birthday is even bigger and better, so make sure you don’t miss that one.

Our big birthday party is next month

So to celebrate we’ve lined up our best ever party!

Singlesolution.com was first launched in 2002 and we’ve been going from strength to strength ever since.

We like to use this annual event as a way of thanking our loyal members so we spend all profits on making sure it’s out most amazing party ever.

The trouble was, how do we top last year?

We sat and though about what would make our ideal partner, then acted on it.  So this year we are pulling out all the stops and going further than we’ve ever gone before.

The highlight of the event will be the UK’s best Lady Gaga tribute – “Lady G”      She’ll be appearing live on stage with her two backup dancers, singing all your favourite Lady Gaga songs.  This promises to be an amazing all singing, all dancing show that will rock your socks off.

As well as this, we’ll have a drink for you on arrival,  some delicious canapes and other special surprises.

We’re asking everyone to dress up for the party to mark the sense of occasion.

We’ve put together this blog to help those people who were wondering why they should attend our events rather than a regular bar.

1. We run friendly, hosted events. The hosts can facilitate the night and to help look after you if you are on your own – normal bars have no hosts and are a nightmare if you are alone.

2. Ice breakers and speed dating. Normal bars dont have any mechanism to encourage interaction.

3. Everyone is in the same boat, single, professional, and in a reasonably narrow age range – this makes it easy to relate to everyone and therefore easy to talk to anyone.
Normal bars are full of couples, and youngsters that could be your kids age. You have no way to know who is single or going to be rude to you if you try to speak to them.

4. Profiles on the site and post event messaging. Normal bars dont have any of this.

5. Low music volume making it easy to chat – normal bars usually have loud music

6. Entertainment. – we often provide things like magicians and bands to help ice break and entertain

7. Small niche events such as theatre trips, wine tasting and casino nights

8. New clients but also regulars so the events can become lovely social places where you can catch up with people as you get to know them better.

Last Saturday we had our bug Single Solution Spring party and we are pleased to say it was a huge success.

The event took place at one of our favourite venues – The Slug and Lettuce in Victoria – and we had well over 160 guests.

We had optional speed dating, icebreaking activities and a DJ later in the evening which got everyone dancing.

We also had Sarah, our new Style Coach at the event and she proved to be hugely popular with guests queuing up to see her all night.

Our Summer of Love party took place on Saturday and we are delighted to say that it was a huge success. The party sold out with over 210 guests. Many prizes were won during out icebreaking game and we had to run extra speed dating sessions as it was so busy. Later in the evening, resident band “The Bluejacks” appeared and got everyone dancing with their hits from the 80s and 90s. I had quite a few people coming up to be saying it was the best mix of people for some time.

The Single Solution Love Bus made it’s triumphant return to the streets of London on Thursday 23rd July.

Following on from successful trip in February ,  our new improved “open top” London Love Bus spent the day travelling around the City and the West End, letting everyone know about our amazing singles parties and online dating.   To make sure nobody could miss us, we hired a 17 piece brass band to serenade the crowds with Love songs.  Everyone had great fun and we gave out 100s of flyers and goody bags.

We’ve had a great response to our promotion which will attract many new members to our site.
